KORAPUT: Central University of Orissa at Koraput is getting developed in the right direction despite enormous amount of hardship, said Prof. Surabhi Banerjee, Vice-Chancellor of the university while addressing the university students on Saturday. There are great challenges in building new universities especially in remote places like Koraput.
While its difficult to procure materials for the university including books for the library and equipments for setting up of laboratories in various departments of the university, care was taken to provide the best possible solutions to different problems of the university, she said.
It takes time for any university to have all that the university should have for providing quality education to the students and the university at Koraput was all set to stand high on the list of the universities in the country. Moreover with the support of the faculty and more importantly the State administration of Orissa it was possible for the university to have many things in its favour that many other new universities were struggling to have till date, she added.
Responding to the demands of the students and the recent agitation by the students in the university, she said that it was not needed for children to go for agitation to ask things from a mother. She knows the requirements of her children and was working hard to provide the best. The students were the assets of the university and she had many dreams for their development, she added.
She also had held discussion with scores of parents sharing hopes and vision of the university.
