World Elders Day celebrated

Correspondent
KORAPUT: It was one of the happiest moments in the life for many senior citizens on Thursday when they were offered an opportunity to interact and share their thoughts with other people of their age in the town hall premises at Koraput . Hundreds of senior citizens from different villages and towns of Koraput, Rayagada, Malkangiri and Nowrangpur districts attended the meeting that was organised by Prachesta, an integral Trust for holistic development of the senior citizen on the occasion of celebrating World elders’ day at Koraput.

Rich experiences
While many senior citizens narrated their rich experiences by standing on the stage and before the new friends of their age, there were many more expressions being shared in a whispering noise, more particularly among the elderly people who had made it to reach from villages.
While this was only a beginning in the series of events to honour the elderly people of the society there was more on the cards in the future, the organisers said.
