Nalco MD wants better coordination
KORAPUT, 4 OCT: Newly appointed chairman-cum-managing director of Nalco, Mr Abhay Kumar Srivastava, stressed on coordination and cooperation among the PSU management, various workers' associations and other concerned parties to take the company to greater heights.
"We, in Nalco, are a family. And, to take our family to greater heights and towards more success, we need to walk and work together," Mr Srivastava said while interacting with Nalco officers, representatives of various associations at Damanjodi yesterday.
The Nalco CMD Mr Srivastava paid a visit to the company's mines and refinery complex yesterday after assuming his office at Bhubaneswar on Friday.
He was accompanied by Mr AK Sharma, director (production), Mr BN Swain, executive director (H&A), Mr PK Mohapatra, executive director (M&R) and Mr GS Mohapatra, DGM (administration).
Mr Srivastava was given a warm welcome by general managers and other top officials along with the office bearers of all unions and employees of M&R complex. In a series of meetings held at Shaila Niwas, he met general managers, apart from office bearers of Nalco Officers Association, recognised union of alumina refinery, core committee members of mines, SC/ST employees' welfare association.
All sections of employees exuded confidence that the new CMD, by virtue of his vast experience of working in public sector enterprises in various fields of engineering and management, would take Nalco to further heights, including, various expansion programmes and new projects of the company involving of over Rs 40,000 crore, company sources said.sns
