Nalco gears up mobile health service

KORAPUT: Nalco has geared up its mobile health service at Damanjodi in Koraput district over the last three months as a part of its periphery development activities in the mines and alumina complex located around Damanjodi in the district.
According to a press release issued on Monday, the mobile health unit of the company which operates under the guidance of an experienced doctor, a paramedical staff and a social worker, has so far covered 108 villages and offered treatment to 8166 patients. Medicines worth Rs. 3 lakhs were distributed free of cost to the patients for various ailments in these health camps, the company sources added.
