Parab festival from Nov.1
KORAPUT: Parab, the State level tribal festival will be launched from the Pedapadu caves near Ampavali in Pottangi block of Koraput district on November 1 this year. This was decided at a meeting in Koraput being convened by Gadadhar Parida, district Collector, Koraput on Thursday. The panchayat level competitions and celebrations would begin from November 3 followed by the block level events which would be held at different dates suitable for the respective blocks to get completed before November 10.
The venue for holding the final events of the festival has been recommended to shift to the stadium at Koraput in place of the earlier venue at Police Parade Ground.
