Poster issue: CMAS rally against Andhra police

Correspondent
KORAPUT: The district administration in Koraput seem to be hard pressed between the demands of Chasi Mulia Adivasi Sangh (CMAS), Narayanpatna and the groups raising their voice against the activities of CMAS in the region and more specifically in Narayanpatna. While there were many meetings by groups of people in different blocks of the district in the recent past, CMAS had come out with taking out a massive rally and distributed leaflets at Narayanpatna on Friday describing the sufferings of tribals in the hands of non-tribals and even by the government machinery.
The sangh had further asked people to join the State-level rally to place their long standing demands before the State government at Bhubaneswar on October 20.
While the Sangh took out the rally at Narayanpatna under the leadership of K.Singana, a prominent leader of the sangh to press their demands to take action against police of Andhra Pradesh for pasting posters a few days back which had asked the leaders of the Sangh not to cross the inter state border it was the leaflets distributed in the rally which had drawn more attention in the little town .
In the open letter to the government , the Sangh demanded for implementation of regulation-2 of Land Settlement Act of 1956 .
