Saheed Baji Rout remembered
KORAPUT: Society has not done enough to pay respect to the departed freedom fighters and martyrs who had sacrificed their lives for the good of society, said district Collector Gadadhar Parida on Sunday. He was speaking at a meeting held to observe the 71st death anniversary of Saheed Baji Rout at Saheed Rajiv Gandhi High School of Sonapur at Koraput.
It was the high time to regenerate the spirit of perfect love for the motherland among the young minds, he said. Among others, Rabi Satpathy, lecturer in Oriya, spoke. The meeting was organised by the district smaraki committee.
