Plea for grace marks

Correspondent
KORAPUT: State government of Orissa and the OPSC should consider giving an additional 140 grace marks for the candidates with who had appeared in the recently conducted Orissa Civil Service mains exams with sociology as their optional paper, appealed R. K. Nayak, a candidate from Damanjodi in Koraput district. In his letters to various forums including the highest offices of the State and at the Central Government, he alleged that abut 1,100 students who had appeared for the examinations with sociology as an optional paper were subjected to a condition of mental torture by the OPSC as they had to answer 140 questions in the Paper-1 of the subject which were out of the syllabus that was prescribed in the advertisement no.08/2006 of the OPSC, Cuttack.
