Road blockade
KORAPUT: People have to walk more than 20 km to reach Narayanpatna as naxals blocked the road between Narayanpatna and Laxmipur by felling trees at two different places near Mattalamba on Monday.
While there were no efforts to clear the road between Narayanpatna and Bandhugaon where the naxalites blocked the road to observe the Independence Day as a black day, Narayanpatna was totally cut off from the outer world with the road blockade.
The same roads were blocked by naxalites on June 15 and it took 18 days to restore it.
