HAL steps up security

KORAPUT: Everyone needs to protect the plants of HAL at Sunabeda from the attacks of Maoists, J. K.M ahapatra, GM (Engine), HAL, said while briefing the media on the current security situation around the plant area. While the company was preparing to protect itself by constructing a long boundary wall around the plant and the staff colony areas, it was the responsibility of everyone to safeguard the interest of the most prestigious plant of the country . As a precautionary measure, the management had introduced identification cards for service providers like the milkman, housemaids and labourers who visit the township on a regular basis, he added.
Special stickers are being pasted on the vehicles of the residents of the township so as to segregate them from the outsiders. Checking by the security personnel of the plant had been increased in and around the township .
