Over 15,000 throng job fair

KORAPUT: More than 15,000 youths from different parts of the district faced interviews in the mega job fair held at Koraput stadium on Wednesday. While it was for the first time that such a huge number of job aspirants being gathered at one place, all the 19 companies participating from different cities in the country, had enough reasons to cheer about. Even though the number of aspirants for getting appointed as security guards was higher than other channels of employment, there was no less crowd of youth for being recruited as HR personnel in different companies.
District Collector Rajesh Pravakar Patil inaugurated the fair. While there were equal number of boys and girls who had to return home without a success in finding jobs, the successful business that the local traders made in the day by delivering passport photographs for the aspirants and photocopying their certificates was a source of inspiration towards self-employment.
