KORAPUT: Hundreds of youth will get appointment in at least six big companies through the mega job camp to be held on March 10 at Koraput, said Rajesh Pravakar Patil, district Collector while inaugurating Dongar iLead, an institution of livelihood and training in Tribal Museum at Koraput on Friday. All these youth will be absorbed in different trades as per the requirement of the companies.
The district administration was also keen in utilising the programme of developing rural communication as a means to provide employment opportunity for the youth of the district. Training would now be imparted to at least five youth from each panchayat in driving four wheelers, who would subsequently be supported by the district administration for getting vehicles on loan, he added.
Dongar iLead, being a joint venture of Aide et Action and TCRC, Koraput, it would provide facilities to youth in getting training as selected by the trainees from a list of sixty trades, U.Daniel of Aide in Action said. While the entire cost of training programme would be born under the SGSY programme, rooms for the continuous programme were spared by Tribal Museum. Among others, K.C.Panigrahy, director, Tribal Museum spoke.
