Administration gearing up for mega job fair

KORAPUT: Everyone needs clothes. It is a steady industry that rarely sees sharp declines in sales at the macro level. At the same time, it is an exciting, glamorous, and fun line of work. A great way to break into the fashion industry is by attending an Apparel Design School and the district administration of Koraput is all set to provide this opportunity to the young aspirants under the pre-training programme with a vision for job placement. Such schools will come up in the near future at Koraput and Jeypore, Rajesh Pravakar Patil, district Collector said in a press meet in the special circuit house on Wednesday.
Here the learners will get an exposure into the ins and outs of apparel design from industry professionals and could develop skills in design, sketching, illustration, drafting, sewing and more.
The district administration was gearing up for the mega job fair scheduled to be organised in the stadium at Koraput next Wednesday. While at least 500 young boys and girls from each block of Koraput district would be attending the fair.
